This is Lunden, the farm they lived on.

Judith and Axel was my grandparents.
Axel died 1948, before I was born, so I don´t remember him.
Although, I have got his pocket watch, it still works...
Judith died in 1965 and I remember her very well, and actually still miss her....
I still have two crocheted blankets as she has done.

My Aunt Ella, born Dec. 20. 1915, dead March 18, 2009.

This is about 1928.

This is Alida, Gustaf and Thekla Knös.
Alida was born June 2, 1786th, dead July 30, 1855th.
Gustaf was born Oct. 20, 1773th, dead Dec. 30, 1828th.
Thekla Levinia Andrietta was born June 17, 1815th in Uppsala
died March 10, was buried at Uppsala, the old cemetery March 16, 1880th.

Today it is 130 years since Thekla was buried.
Many years, but she is still remembered.

Arthur W. Chilberg
born February 6, 1905, South Bend
His parents was Jennie Amalia and Andrew G. Chilberg
Arthur married Bernice Alice Simpson March 24, 1934th.
Arthur died February 22, 1955.
He is buried in Riverview cemetery, South Bend.

JENNIE AMALIA CHILBERG
(maiden name Johnson)
She was born in March 12, 1874th.
Borås, Västergötland, Sweden.

She emigrated to America in 1891 only 17 years old.
Along on the trip was her brother, John August, born 1867th.
Jennie married Andrew Chilberg 1894 and got three children.
...but where did John August go?

This is Thekla Levinia Andrietta Knös,
born June 17, 1815 in Uppsala and died March 10, 1880 in Växjö. She was a writer, poet, and translated various texts including from German and English.
She won the prize of Swedish Academy's Grand Prize in 1851 and also 1868th.
Thekla´s gr grandfather: Olof Birgersson Knös
was brother of my gr gr gr grandmother: Britta Börjesdotter Knös.
I think she have quite unique first names and she was a quite unique woman.

This is my grandmothers sister Jennie Amalia Chilberg. She was born 1874 in Borås, Västergötland. She and her brother Johan August emigrated to South Bend, Amerika in 1891. At that time Jennie was only 17 years old. This photo is taken in Sweden, probably just before she would emigrate. I think she was very brave....
